Let’s dig in.

Tell the IAB what you think of privacy compliance
Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Europe, together with IAB Tech Lab, announced new technical specifications for its second version of the Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF v2.0) which is designed to facilitate GDPR and ePrivacy Directive compliance. The new specifications are available for public comment until 25 May. Do you recall Google was supposed to implement TCF by August last year? Do you know if they actually signed on the initial TCF? An updated form of malware targets Microsoft Windows systems
A well-known form of malware – which has been stealing enterprise’s login credentials and finances for over a decade – has once more been updated with new tricks to make it more effective in avoiding detection. Qakbot – also known as Qbot – has been causing trouble for businesses since 2008, using worm-like capabilities to spread.
The information-stealing trojan malware is targeting Microsoft Windows systems in an attempt to create backdoors and make off the usernames and passwords which can provide access to financial data. More details about Qakbot’s evolution here.
