The social media landscape is ever-changing. Thus, it’s essential for brands to keep up-to-date with which social media platform consumers prefer.
YouTube has more than 2 billion monthly active users, and while the Stories format hasn’t taken-off as well on Facebook as it did on Instagram, Facebook has over 2.5 billion monthly active users. According to a report by Animoto, marketers are focusing on Facebook Stories and YouTube to elevate their brands in 2020.
Here are a few key insights from the study –
a) 73% of marketers uploaded 2 or more marketing videos to YouTube in the last month;
b) 67% of marketers post videos on Facebook Stories at least once a week;
c) 59% of marketers surveyed have run video ads on YouTube in the last 12 months;
d) 72% of marketers post branded content to Facebook Stories once a week or more;
e) 46% of marketers landed a new client because of a video on YouTube; and
f) 44% of consumers surveyed browsed Facebook Stories in the last month.
Given the rising popularity of the Stories format and the continuous video dominance of YouTube, it makes sense those are the social media platforms to watch in 2020 as they have the potential to reach the largest audiences.
